Answer
(1) Oceans are vast bodies of salt water, covering 71% of Earth. Continents are large landmasses, covering 29% of Earth.
(2) The five oceans are the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Southern, and Arctic. The seven continents are Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia.
(3) Oceans surround the continents, and together they shape Earth’s surface.
(1) महासागर खारे पानी के विशाल जल निकाय हैं, जो पृथ्वी की सतह का 71% भाग घेरे हुए हैं। महाद्वीप विशाल स्थलीय भूभाग होते हैं, जो पृथ्वी का 29% भाग घेरते हैं।
(2) पाँच महासागर हैं– प्रशांत, अटलांटिक, हिंद, दक्षिणी और आर्कटिक। सात महाद्वीप हैं– एशिया, अफ्रीका, उत्तर अमेरिका, दक्षिण अमेरिका, अंटार्कटिका, यूरोप और ऑस्ट्रेलिया।
(3) महासागर महाद्वीपों को चारों ओर से घेरे रहते हैं और मिलकर पृथ्वी की सतह का स्वरूप बनाते हैं।

Answer
Continents and oceans are major domains of the Earth. Continents provide land for living, farming, and using natural resources like forests and minerals. Oceans regulate temperature, support marine life, and help in rainfall through the water cycle. Together, they form the biosphere, where all living beings interact with land, water, and air to survive.
महाद्वीप और महासागर पृथ्वी के प्रमुख घटक हैं। महाद्वीप जीवन, कृषि और खनिज जैसे प्राकृतिक संसाधनों के लिए भूमि प्रदान करते हैं। महासागर तापमान नियंत्रित करते हैं, समुद्री जीवन को सहारा देते हैं और जल चक्र द्वारा वर्षा में मदद करते हैं। ये मिलकर जैवमंडल बनाते हैं, जहाँ सभी जीव भूमि, जल और वायु से जुड़कर रहते हैं।
