Answer
The process of taking decisions, organising the society’s life with different sets of rules, and ensuring that they are followed, is called governance.
निर्णयों को लेने की प्रकिया, नियमों के विभिन्न समूहों से सामाजिक जीवन को व्यवस्थित करना और उनका पालन सुनिश्चित करना ही शासन कहलाता हैं।

Why do we need a government? 
हमें सरकार की आवश्यकता क्यों है?
Answer
We need a government to create and enforce rules that maintain order and harmony in society, provide public services, protect rights, and ensure justice and equality.
हमें सरकार की आवश्यकता इसलिए है ताकि वह नियम बना सके और उनका पालन करा सके, समाज में शांति और व्यवस्था बनाए रख सके, लोगों को सार्वजनिक सुविधाएँ (जैसे सड़कें, स्कूल, अस्पताल, बिजली, पीने का पानी) उपलब्ध करा सके, नागरिकों के अधिकारों की रक्षा कर सके और न्याय एवं समानता सुनिश्चित कर सके।

Answer
Democracy is a system of government where the people rule, either directly or through elected representatives. It is important because it ensures the participation of citizens in decision-making, protects individual freedoms, and promotes equality and justice.
लोकतंत्र ऐसी शासन व्यवस्था है जिसमें जनता स्वयं शासन करती है – प्रत्यक्ष रूप से या अपने निर्वाचित प्रतिनिधियों के माध्यम से।
यह इसलिए महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि इससे नागरिकों को निर्णय लेने की प्रक्रिया में भाग लेने का अधिकार मिलता है, स्वतंत्रता की रक्षा होती है और समानता व न्याय सुनिश्चित होते हैं।
